MAY 20, 2004 (newstodte): Lufthansa Technik and Air France Industries have joined forced to offer comopnent logistics services to future A380 operators.
The two companies have signed an agreement top provide component logistics to not only their only total of 25 Airbus A380, but to offer a complete line of component services to all A380 customers worldwide.
Under this scheme, the two companies will jointly provide component repair, management of a component pool with all required logistics services and comprehensive component servicing at airlines' A380 main bases as well as at outstations.
So far, Airbus has landed 129 orders for the new Airbus Mega-Jumbo that will enter commercial service from 2006, one year after its first flight next year.
