APR 28, 2004 (newstodate): Boeing has delivered the fourth Boeing 717 aircraft to the Turkmen airline Turkmenhovayollari/Turkmen Airlines.
The airline will operate the new aircraft on both domestic and international routes, and delivery of a fifth Boeing 717 is expected later this summer. Also on the horizon is a Boeing 767-300 aircraft designated for VIP and governmental use, to be delivered by the end of this year.
The airline that was the first in the former Soviet Union to order Boeing aircraft, also operates four Boeing-757, and three Boeing 737 aircraft.
