APR 02, 2004 (newstodate): New Czech low-cost airline Smart Wings has taken delivery of an Internet Booking Engine developed by Lufthansa Systems.
The airline thus became the company's launch customer for the new system that provides the ability to make bookings directly online with the
IBE, independent of a global distribution system.
The Czech airline also uses Lufthansa Systems's FrontSales solution for sales through their call center, and the high-performance Inventory System that allows the airline to optimise control of its flights.
Smart Wings, a subsidiary of the charter airline TravelServis, will start flights from Prague to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Madrid, Zurich and Paris from May 1, 2004.
