APR 29, 2004 (newstodate): From 5 May, Austrian Airlines will implement a cooperation with Taiwanese airline Eva Air Cargo to extend the range of services available to cargo customers on its routes to Taipei and Mumbai.
Under the agreement, Austrian Cargo will gain access to approximately ten tons of extra cargo capacity on the key Vienna-Mumbai-Taipei route operated therice weekly with Eva Airs MD11 freighter.
-Against the background of the imminent EU-enlargement we anticipate that there will be a major increase in traffic flows in coming years. Working on this basis, we incorporated Vienna into last years winter cargo schedule in an effort to complement our existing passenger services, says Arthur N. W. Hung, Eva Air General Manager of Austria & Central Eastern European Countries.
-The Austrian Airlines route network represents the perfect addition to the programmes of our organisation and clients, while the cooperation will enable us to benefit from Austrian Cargos many years of experience in Central and Eastern Europe, he says.
