In total, the Armenian airline carried 63,700 passengers in the first quarter of this year, while the cargo traffic aggregated 600,000 RTKs. Almost 86 percent of the total production was related to the CIS countries.
In this summer's program, ArmAvia will open new regular routes to Moscow and Novosibirsk, facilitating partner airline Sibiria Airlines' passengers to connect to other destinations.
ArmAvia also plans to start new routes out of Armenia's second largest international airport at Gyumri to destiations in northern Russia.
In 2003, ArmAvia carried a total of 249,000 passengers and 900 tonnes of air cargo.
The airline operates a fleet of A320 and ATR-42 aircraft.
