MAR 10, 2004 (newstodate): Finnair Cargo reports an increase by 16.2 percent in total cargo volumes, aggregating 6,582.3 tonnes in February.
For January-February, the total volume was 12,651.2 tonnes, up 12.7 percent.
In February, cargo volumes were up by 4.3 percent in Europe, 9.5 percent over the North Atlantic, but 58.6 percent in Asia that generated a total of 2,635.3 tonnes of air cargo.
Cargo in Finnair Cargo's freighter services however dipped by 15.5 percent, to 788.5 tonnes in February.
With ATK up by 20.5 percent after the massive expansion in the routes to Asia, China, and RTK up by 31.4 percent, the overall load factor rose by 4.8 percentage points to 58.7 percent in February.
