MAR 01, 2004 (newstodate): Already in April, SAS will meet with Chinese civil aviation authorities to negotiate rights for daily services on the airline's new route Shanghai-Copenhagen to be inaugurated on March 28.
From the outset, the route will be served three times per week.
-If permitted, we will provide daily services, for three weekly flights, which are far from meeting the booming demand, Bjorn Ekegren, SAS general manager of the China, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea and Mongolia regions, told Chinese news agency Xinhua News.
In the same interview he also said SAS is considering a route to Guanzhou, alternatively Hong Kong, to serve the market in Southern China.
