MAR 24, 2004 (newstoday): At a hand-over ceremony on Monday, authority over Bosnia- herzegovina's Mostar Airport was transferred from NATO to civilian authority with effect from April 1.
In the aftermath of the region's civil war, NATO's peace-keeping SFOR took over management of the airport in July 1998.
The airport will now come under the jurisdiction of the City of Mostar and the Federal Directorate for Civilian Aviation.
