MAR 19, 2004 (newstodate): On March 10, UK-based BMI's budget subsidiary BMI Baby obtained its own AOC, allowing it to start fresh operations.
BMI Baby will fly from Irish airport Knock to Manchester with a B737, and from Knock to East Midland with a B737, providing Knock with its first international air cargo service.
BMI will also start a new service from Knock to Glasgow at the end of the month, further adding cargo capacity to the business community.
-IAM will be promoting the BMI Baby services, and we have received good feedback from a number of freight forwarders and couriers companies active in the north west region of Ireland, says Ian McCool, International Airline Marketing general manager.
