MAR 08, 2004 (newstodate): Danish privately-owned airline Maersk Air would like to see close cooperation with other airlines to boost passenger volumes.
-One favorable option would be an agreement with Finnair-owned Nordic Airlink that would provide a perfect match for us, adding Finnish traffic to our route network that is poised to focus on routes out of Denmark to destinations in Southern Europe, says Finn Oelund, Maersk Air CEO.
Another option is a cooperation with Finnair, enabling Maersk Air to feed traffic to and from the Far Eastern services of Finnair.
According to press reports, Maersk Air is also preparing the launch of a further bunch of destinations in addition to the 12 out of Copenhagen announced recently, and the contisuned build-up of routes out of Billund Airport in western Denmark.
