MAR 25, 2004 (newstodate): Lithuanian Airlines has decided to add one Boeing 737 aircraft to its fleet, in order to obtain the capacity needed for this summer's traffic expansion.
The airline will lease one Boeing 737-500, and exchange it for one SAAB 2000 that will be returned to its owner.
-Decisions concerning the remaining two Saab 2000 will soon be made in discussion with the representatives of aircraft lease company, says Giedrius Sniukas, Lithuanian Airlines press officer.
This summer the airline will increase frequencies to Amsterdam, London, and re-introduce flights to Paris that were temporarily syspended during the winter season.
From March 28 Lithuanian Airlines will also be flying to Moscow six times a week, increasing the number flights to 11 per week from June.
