MAR 25, 2004 (newstodate): Slovenian provider of transport and logistics services, Intereurope has worked hard to position itself before the country's admission into the EU.
The Intereuropa Group now comprises 15 associated companies in ten countries and a staff of 2,496.
Only a month before Slovenia's accession to the EU, Intereuropa Group has restructured its operations from a largely customs brokering enterprise and road haulier into a logistics group, capable of implementing its business vision of "retaining the leading position in logistics in SE Europe and building up to a medium-sized logistics provider on the European scale".
The Group's market share has increased by active sale of logistical services, but also by acquisitions of companies operating in warehousing and transportation in Slovenia, Croatia, BiH, Serbia, the Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Austria and France.
After the entry into the EU, the Group expects its revenues from customs brokering to fall from currently 18 to only 6.5 percent.
