MAR 10, 2004 (newstodate): In 2003, independent Finnish aircraft brokering company Logimix generated a total of 150 charter flights, passenger and cargo operations included.
-Aircraft brokering is a major business for us, alongside ground transportation of overseas transfer cargo to Russia via our bonded warehouse in Finland, and overseas sea and air cargo forwarding services from our Helsinki office, says Juhani Peltonen, Logimix managing director.
-Among our current brokering contracts are weekly aircraft charters for the military forces of Finland, Sweden and Norway destined for Kabul, Afghanistan, with Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Turkish airline Pegasus.
-We also manage weekly flights with Boeing 737 aircraft from Hamburg Airlines providing transportation of Swedish military personnel to Pristina, and next week we are providing a chartered aircraft for Swedish peace keeping forces to Monrovia.
-On top of this we are providing many chartered cargo flights, mainly in the over-size and heavy transport segments, including IL-76 and An-124 aircraft operations, says Juhani Peltonen.
