MAR 01, 2004 (newstodate): The Cool Chain Association's "Hamburg Group" has now named its new industry standards CCQI Cool Chain Quality Indicators.
The standards will be presented at Cool Chain Association's forthcoming AGM at Billund Airport on May 24-25.
Members of the Hamburg Group include Cargolux, KLM Cargo, Emirates, Continental Airlines, Brussels and Billund Airports, trucking cmpany Jan de Rijk, forwarder Swift Freight and Mayne Pharma, a pharmaceuticals company.
The Group is headed by Germanischer Lloyd, a German-based international classification society, which will establish the new CCQI manual as an official benchmark for the industry. GL is attending all meetings and will exclusively audit and certify CCQI applicants.
