MAR 05, 2004 (newstodate) Boeing has decided to scale down investments in its ATM activities, retructuring them into being part of the Phantom Works rather than a separate business company.
-Boeing will continue to pursue advances in air traffic management that will enhance efficiency, capacity and security. However, in an effort to be more efficient, we are scaling down our investment and making an organizational change to meet current demand. When governments are ready to build an advanced air traffic management system, we will be ready to respond quickly, says Harry Stonecipher, Boeing president and CEO.
