MAR 19, 2004 (newstodate): Austrian Airlines has received its first two of a total of seven Airbus A319 aircraft destined to serve primarily the E European markets.
To underscore its dedication to the markets in E Europe Austrian has named the aircraft after capitals in these countries, including "Sofia", "Kiev", and "Bucharest".
Three of the A319s will enter service in 2004, three more will join in 2005, and the seventh Airbus A319 will follow in the first quarter of 2006.
