MAR 26, 2004 (newstodate): Air France will be introduce its fourth Boeing 747-400ERF in April to replace a Boeing 747-200F.
The increased freighter capacity will enable the company to speed up rotations with fewer refuelling stops, and enhance over-all regularity.
The summer schedule features a 13 percent increase in capacity, and the company plans to open its new route to Atlanta with the Boeing 747-200F once a week via New York/JFK, a service to Malabo with one weekly Airbus A300-600F flight chartered from the cargo airline, Islandsflug, increase capacity to Hong Kong, with 3 out of the 6 weekly flights by B747-400 ERF, add capacity to Shanghai with a sixth weekly frequency, while the service to Dar Es Salaam will be suspended.
