MAR 19, 2004 (newstodate): On March 10, Ukrainian airlne AeroSvit and Thai Airways International inked a code-share agreement on the Kiev-Bangkok route.
The route is operated by AeroSvit with Boeing 767-300 aircraft, and will now gain enhanced visibility on the booking systems in the Asian travel markets.
The two airlines also agreed to extend cooperation to AeroSvit's routes out of Kiev to destinations in Central, Southeastern and northern Europe, and to Thai Airways' flights out of Bangkok to destinations in Asia, Australia and Oceania.
Before the end of this month, a separate agreement will be signed allowing for a new special prorate agreement.
AeroSvit has thus become the only carrier in Eastern Europe and CIS to conclude a code-share agreement with Thai Airways.
