MAR 25, 2004 (newstodaet): Aeroflot is preparing for a busy Summer 2004 as the new program takes effect from April 28.
The airline will operate a total of 72 jet aircraft on its route network trafficked by 46,721 paired flights during 164,665 flight hours.
Among the flights, Aeroflot's new A319 and A320 aircraft will operate on flights to Cairo, Teheran, Dubai, on nineteen European routes, and also to Ekaterinburg.
As to domestic routes, where Aeroflot now hopes for a come-back after the quota abolition on domestic air traffic from April 1, 2004, weekly flights to St Petersburg will increase from 35 to 53, to Nizhny Novgorod from 14 to 20, to Krasnodar from 21 to 34, to Ekaterinburg from 12 to 21, to Mineralnye Vody from five to seven, and to Sochi from 17 to 25.
Aeroflot will also increase daily frequencies on its "Kaliningrad Shuttle" from four to to five.
