FEB 04, 2004 (newstodate): SAS is seeing great prospects for increased cargo business in the Chinese market, also expected to be further boosted by SAS' launch from April 28 of a new Airgbus A340-300 route to Shanghai.
-The projections we have seen for future growth in the cargo market are very impressive, and SAS Cargo is already studying the possibility of introducing all-cargo flights between Scandinavia and China, says Jorgen Lindegaard, SAS Group CEO in this month's edition of the airline's inflight magazine.
SAS Cargo already operates a freighter service with a Lufthansa Cargo MD-11 freighter between Gothenburg and Hong Kong.
