FEB 03, 204 (newstodate): Taking effect from February 1, Moldavian carrier Moldavian Airlines and Hungarian carrier Malev have entered a code-share agreement covering the route Budapest-Chisinau.
The Moldavian airline has operated the route since 1997, introducing, from December 15, 2003, SAAB 2000 aircraft on a wet-lease agreement with SWISS International Airlines.
With the code-share deal, Moldavian Airlines will feed traffic into Malev's hub at Budapest Ferihegy Airport.
Passenger volumes on the route are 30-35,000 annually.
