FEB 25, 2004 (newstodate): Lithuania's airfreight market has been growing by 30 percent for the last three or four years, and this growth is expected to continue after the country's entry into EU.
-The growth in the Lithuanian market reflects first of all the increasing localisation of production to low-cost, low-wage countries like Lithuania, and this trend will probably only be strengthened after our admission into EU, says Armis Valiulis, Arijus general director.
According to Mr Valiulis, forwarding and transport company Arijus' turnover and freight volumes grew by 50 percent last year, and the company is poised for sustained expansion in 2004 as well.
