FEB 12, 2004 (newstodate): Plans for a freighter route to serve exporters of fresh salmon in northern Norway to Korea and Japan have been further delayed.
Originally slated for launch by Febuary 17, the start will probably be delayed till after the start of March, says a project spokesman.
The spokesman says that the eventual choice of Polar Air Cargo as carrier remains unsettled as no contract has yet been signed. He also indicates that the recent filing for Chapter 11 protection by the Atlas Air Group, to which Polar belongs, has also added yet another issue to be solved.
He does stress, however, that the project is still in progress and will proceed.
