FEB 23, 2004 (newstodate): Carpatair,a privately-owned Romanian-Swiss regional airline based in Timisoara, plans to add two or three more SAAB 2000 aircraft to its fleet later this year.
-The new aircraft will be used for expansion of the fleet currently comprising six SAAB 340 and two SAAB 2000 aircraft in order to up frequencies and add new destinations to the route network, says Nicoleta Dobre, Carpatair spokeswoman.
Thus, the airline will start operating three times weekly into Dusseldorf and Torino from this summer programme already.
Mrs Dobre says the airline takes little air cargo due to the limited capacity of the SAAB aircraft.
