FEB 18, 2004 (newstodate): Amidst major uncertainties and sustained problems with its unions, Alitalia has decided to order five Airbus A319 aircraft with options for two more, and six Embraer ERT170 aircraft destined for use by its subsidiary, Alitalia Express on a sale-lease back arrangement.
