FEB 10, 2004 (newstodate): From the start of this year, construction work will begin on Kazakh airport, Aktobe.
Among the projects to be realised, the airport's runway will be extended to 3,200 meters, in addition to several other products on the passenger side.
Commissioned in 1966 and not refurbished since then, Aktobe Airport plans to take in its first passengers and air cargo by the end of 2005.
