FEB 04, 2004 (newstodate): In 2003, air cargo was down 6.3 percent at Sweden's airports, taken together.
The Swedish airports generated a total of 194,328 tonnes of air cargo through January-December, 2003.
International air cargo, imports and exports combined, totalled 185,714 tonnes, constituting 95.6 percent of the total, up from 95.0 percent in 2002, but down 5.8 percent in volume, year-on-year.
European air cargo was down 8.3 percent, while "rest of world" was up 1.4 percent, to 52,168 tonnes of which 21,858 tonnes was imports, and 30,310 tonnes was exports.
