DEC 14, 2004 (newstodate): Singapore Airlines Cargo has scored a world's first in the Chinese air cargo market.
The airline has landed a dangerous goods permit by the Central and Southern Administration of CAAC, allowing it to carry DG on all services to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Xiamen.
Singapore Airlines Cargo currently operates a total of 10 weekly freighter rotations to China, including six weekly services to USA via China. The company also markets the belly cargo capacity on Singapore Airlines' 55 weekly passenger flights between China and Singapore.
SIA Cargo can thus transport DG on all commercial aircraft in compliance with IATA DG regulations.
