DEC 13, 2004 (newstodate): From January 31, 2005, SAS-owned Finnish airline Blue1 will start flights on a new route between Oulu and Copenhagen Airport.
The daily flights will be operated with Avro RJ100 aircraft.
After Helsinki, Oulu is Finland's second most traffic hub, and the new route will provide the region with enhanced transfer connections by SAS via Copenhagen Airport.
The decision to open the new route is a further strengthening of the stiff competition between SAS and Finnair in the Nordic region.
Blue1 operates a fleet comprising nine Avro RJ100 and five Saab 2000 turboprop aircraft.
