DEC 10, 2004 (newstodate): Ukraine's capital airport at Kiev, Boryspil International Airport is in for a major modernisation and expansion.
A General Development Plan for the airport until 2020 includes building a new passenger terminal, and a USD 172 million loan has been secured from the Japanese government to this effort.
Under the general plan, the airport will position itself to accomodate up to 25 million passengers.
The planned terminal will be built in 2007-2008.
