DEC 15, 2004 (newstodate): The Icelandair Group can look back on a busy and promising 2004.
According to local sources, the number of Icelandair passengers in scheduled operations showed an increase of 17.9 percent for the first ten months of 2004, compared with last year, generating a total of 1,169,818 passengers.
Passenger volume on Air Iceland, the domestic airline, showed an increase of 14.5 percent for the first 10 months of this year, generating 268,708 pax.
Icelandair Cargo also performed well, totalling a volume of 29,264 tonnes, up 26.9 percent on last year.
Finally, the Icelandair Group's ACMI-arm, Loftleidir-Icelandic generated an increase in block hours of 70.3 percent, reaching 14,807 block hours.
