DEC 06, 2004 (newstodate): As the second stage in the privatisation plan for Bulgaria's two Black Sea airport closed on December 3, five companies were shortlisted for the next round.
The succesful contenders are Copenhagen Airports A/S, a consortium comprising Bulgarian resort operator Albena AD and Germany's Hochtief AirPort GmbH, a group comprising Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Kharafi&Sons and A�roports de Paris, Vinci Airports-Vinci Concessions, and a consortium comprising Fraport AG and Bulgaria's BM Star EOOD. All contenders have thus been cleared to submit bids for the concession contract.
Amohng the original participants now excluded from further business is a group comprising Nice Cote d'Azur Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport.
