DEC 02, 2004 (newstodate): The Croatian government plans to change the current laws on aircraft leasing.
The effect of the proposed law will be to limit airline operations for some airlines in Croatia, like Air Adriatic, and favour instead the state-owned Croatia Airlines, local industry sources say.
In the future, airlines wishing to operate in Croatia must register at least one aircraft in the country.
In the future, airline may also not lease more aircraft than they own themselves.
