DEC 08, 2004 (newstodate): China Airlines has taken possission of its 14th Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft.
The new aircraft replaces a Boeing 747 that China Airlines sold back to Boeing for use as the second of three Large Cargo Freighters to ferry major assemblies for the Boeing 7E7 Dreamliner from suppliers worldwide to the Boeing plant in Everett, where the Dreamliner will be built.
By the end of 2004, China Airlines will operate a total of 41 Boeing aircraft including 14 747-400 passenger aircraft, 15 747-400 freighters, and 12 737-800 aircraft.
China Airlines also operates one leased MD-11 aircraft.
