NOV 29, 2004 (newstodate): Slovak low-cost carrier SkyEurope is strengthening its traffic to London after becoming alone in the market.
Austrian Airlines and its code-share partner Slovak Airlines have announced their pull-out from the London traffic after seeing passenger load factors declining.
In September, Polish LOT similarly pulled out from the route between Bratislave and Warsaw, and SkyEurope is thus alone in this segment as well.
-High-cost carriers find it difficult to compete with SkyEurope on point to point routes, says Christian Mandl, SkyEurope CEO.
