NOV 18, 2004 (newstodate): In contrast to several budget airline projects during recent years, Slovakian airline SkyEurope reports ahead of budgets, in the black, and with expansion on the agenda.
Based at the airports of Budapest, Warsaw, Krakow and Vienna-Bratislava, SkyEurope now operates a fleet of 13 aircraft on a network of 19 destinations in the UK, France, Croatia, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
After one year of operations from Budapest, SkyEurope has grown to be one of the largest carriers in Hungary flying to 10 different destinations in Summer 2004, including Amsterdam, Rome, and Venice.
The airline is reportedly planning to open "four or five" new destinations in next year's summer schedule.
