NOV 05, 2004 (newstodate): Kuzu Airlines Cargo has added two A300-B4 cargo aircraft.
The two ex-Farnair aircraft are currently ondergoing C checks to bring them up to first class maintenance condition, as well as compliance with latest JAR requirements.
Kuzu thus operates a total of four Airbus freighters.
-The decision to buy the aircraft was taken to match the increasing work loads, coupled with the very high levels of growth in the Turkish economy this year which augurs well for the future, says Michael Asher, Kuzu Airlines Cargo
commercial manager.
-We are very successfully operating regular flights from Istanbul to Amsterdam and London. A number of major carriers, including British Airways World Cargo have signed and are in the process of signing interline agreements with us to facilitate transfer of ULDs to and from our company both in Amsterdam and London. We will also shortly be extending our services to Kuwait and Dubai.
-We also operate ACMI leases, and we have secured more such operations for the months ahead. The company also operate numerous charters to points in Europe, Asia and Africa. With the additional fleet capacity these operations will be extended from early next year to include North America from where we already receive many requests for "cargo aircraft only" charters. These include dangerous goods, livestock, and perishables, says Mr Asher.
