NOV 09, 2004 (newstodate): Danish Air Transport, DAT, is behind the application for traffic rights currently being negotiated with the Faroese authorities.
After the demise of Maersk Air on the Faroe-Denmark traffic, Atlantic Airways is alone in serving the market and has incrased its capacity significantly to meet demands for passenger and cargo transportation.
The final approval by the authorities is expected within soon, enabling DAT to launch services before Christmas with ATR aircraft.
