NOV24, 2004 (newstodate): CIS flight safety deteriorated during the first half of this year, concludes the Interstate Aviation Committe in its latest report.
During the period 14 accidents causing 78 deaths were reported, compared to 11 during H1 2003.
Accidents during H1 2004 included five accidents involving fixed-wing commercial aircraft, five rotary-wing accidents, and four accidents involving light aircraft.
40 percent of the accidents were caused by human errors, says the report.
