NOV 01, 2004 (newstodate): Cargo tonnages at Billund Airport continue to rise.
In October, the airpot's total volume was up 10.2 percent, to 4,429 tonnes.
Imports grew by 17.2 percent, and exports by 4.5 percent.
For the period January-October, total volumes are 40,108 tonnes, up 21.3 percent.
During the first 10 months of the year, imports are up 26.6 percent to 19,095 tonnes, and exports have increased by 16.8 percent to 21,013 tonnes.
-While the overall increase this year will make 2004 a record year at Billund Airport, we will probably see monthly percentage growth somewhat down from now as volumes started to grow already curing Q3 last year, says Jan Ditlevsen, Cargo Centre Billund manager.
