NOV 02, 2004 (newstodate): Aeroflot has announced the introduction of a road feeder service to connect its cargo flights to and from Hahn with major European destinations.
This service will connect Aeroflot freighter flights with Milan, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt by airline trucking operations in cooperation with Aeroflot partners Schenker, Nippon Express, Panalpine, and DHL Danzas.
Since the end of 2003, Aeroflot operates four DC-10-40 freighters on daily regular flights via Russia to Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing.
In 2003 Aeroflot carried a total of 114,200 tonnes of air cargo and mail, up 4.4 percent on the precering year.
During the first nine months of 2004, Aeroflot carried 103,300 tons of cargo and mail, up 30.9 percent over last year.
