OCT 27, 2004 (newstodate): There must be no doubts: we as an airline consider freight forwarders to be our customers, says Marianne Hurtig, SAS Cargo area cargo manager, in a comment on the debate on Lithuanian cargo GSA culture.
-We at SAS Cargo will allow for no local deviation from this simple guideline: we sell our products and services to forwarders through agents, and we demand indiscriminate neutrality from our GSAs in their markets, she says.
-Should any forwarder in any of our markets meet interference with their customers, the shippers, from our GSAs or agents, they are most welcome to report directly to me, and we will take prompt and contrete action, says Mrs Hurtig.
In Lithuania, SAS Cargo, as well as Icelandair Cargo, is represented by GSA company AAS, set up by a former SAS Cargo representative in Lithuania.
