OCT 15, 2004 (newstodate): In September, Ljuljana Airport saw its cargo and mail volumes down by 11.6 percent, to 1,036 tonnes.
Flown cargo dropped the most, down 20 percent to 557,2 tonnes, and mail dropped 36.4 percent to 84.6 percent.
Trucked cargo increased, however, by 8.1 percent to 375,1 tonnes.
The airport's aircraft movements were up 16.6 percent, but the increasing volume of flight operations is mainly performed by regional aircraft with limited capacity for air cargo.
