OCT 04, 2004 (newstodate): The re-launch of defunct Bosnian airline, Air Bosna, is still blowing in the wind.
The airline, out of business since September 2003, later announced its rebirth from this autumn, but prospects seem uncertain.
-A decision will be made after the local election in Bosnia-Herzegovina October 3. But the plan to acquire two ATR-72 is not in option any more. Instead, the airline will be looking at bigger aircraft now, says a source within the company.
Air Bosna started out with operating Yak-42 aircraft but later added to MD-81 aircraft.
The airline was forced out of business by increasing debts to workforce, Eurocontrol and suppliers.
