Thus total volumes rose from 6,580 tonnes in 2002 to 12,613 tonnes in 2003.
By contrast, passengers volumes dipped by 5 percent, to 601,000 in 2003.
The huge increase in airfreight gained momentum only from the middle of the year, while volumes were still unchanged against 2002 till summer 2003.
