JAN 07, 2004 (newstodate): Estonian logistics and forwarding company IK Speditor Group is preparing to launch an all-comprising Baltic option by opening its new subsidiary in Lithuania by early March, 2004.
The new company will be headed by Evaldas Malinauskas, formerly head of air cargo dept, Lithuanian forwarding company AD REM.
-Our first priority will be developing road transportation solutions for customers in Lithuania, but as I am deeply familiar with Lithuanian air cargo I'm confident that we will build up this activity as well, says Evaldas Malinauskas, who plans to employ a total of three staff from the outset.
-With this latest addition to a similar subsidiary in Latvia, established three years ago, IK Speditor will now be able to serve customers with a comprehensive solution to the forwarding and logistics requirements in all three Baltic countries prior to their admission into the EU from this summer, he says.
