Imports were up 19 percent to 1,252 tonnes, while exports grew by 11 percent to 881 tonnes.
Growth also marked the airport's passenger traffic, up 14 percent, and aircraft movements, up 12 percent.
-The increase is a result of new scheduled services to Budapest, and the arrival of new carriers including British Airways, says Aneta Adamek, LOT Handling Cracow Ltd marketing manager.
According to Ms Adamek, the airport expects continued growth through 2004 when new destinations including Prague and Copenhagen will be added.
