JAN 20, 2004 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport dropped 3.1 percent in total air cargo volumes through 2003.
Total volumes ended at 40,554 tonnes, of which 15,590 tonnes were imports, down 8.6 percent, and 24,963 tonnes were exports, increasing modestly by 0.7 percent.
Till 2001, Keflavik Airport experienced a sustained double-digit growth rate over many years, but since then growth was slowed down to stagnation and, from last year, even to a slight decrease.
