JAN 20, 2004 (newstodate): The year 2003 ended with a one percent decline in total air cargo volumes at Swedish airport Gothenburg Landvetter.
The aggregated volume at 54,236 tonnes breaks down into imports at 26,872 (up two percent), and exports at 27,364 (down four percent).
For the first eight months of 2003, volumes sustained a steep downward trend, but since September the trend has been up again, including a 25 percent growth in November followed by 14 percent in December reflecting recent expansions by Polar Air and Emirates Cargo.
