JAN 29, 2004 (newstodate): On January 22, Ukrainian carrier Aerosvit Airlines received its second Boeing 767-300ER aircraft at Borispol Airport.
-The addition of the second long-hauler is part of AeroSvit's long-term plan to develop its intercontinental route network, and turn Borispol Airport into a strong international hub in the region, says Jane Satska, AeroSvit Airlines press coordinator.
The new aircraft will be used on services to New York, Toronto, Bangkok, Delhi as well as on charter flights to Hurgada, Sharm-el-Sheik, Telenerife and the Maldives.
AeroSvit plans to increase its flights to New York to six or seven departures per week, including one or two new fligths to New York and an additional weekly departure for Toronto.
As with its first Boeing 767-300ER delivered in 2002, the second is also a former SAS aircraft, leased through the Scandinavian investment company, Nordea Finance.
